A tropical houseplant collection that grew into a kennel.
It started with a sunroom overflowing with monstera, philodendrons and indoor palms — and with Mousson, our first Shih Tzu, who spent her days lying underneath them. Our veterinarian eventually convinced us, after two years of health screenings, that she deserved a litter.
That litter grew up among the terracotta pots, warm and surrounded by leaves and household noise. Nine years later, that's still exactly how our puppies come into the world: in the living room, not in a basement pen.

Health tested before every litter
Patella exam, ophthalmological and cardiac assessment on both parents before any mating. You receive the actual results, not a summary.
Socialized in the sunroom
Daily handling from day three, gradual exposure to noise, the vacuum, children and other dogs — always surrounded by the same greenery they already know.
Support for life
Grooming, feeding, first nights — we stay reachable long after your puppy leaves. And if you ever can't keep your dog, they come back to us. Always.

We don't diversify. The Shih Tzu has been a companion dog for centuries — small, affectionate, equally at home in a condo or a house, and remarkably well suited to the quieter pace of the South Shore.
We've known our lines for nine years: their temperament, their colours, their little quirks. Knowing one breed well beats skimming several.
From your first question to the ride home.
You write to us
Tell us about your household: condo or house, children, other pets, experience with the breed. We reply within one to two days, honestly.
We meet
Sunroom visits by appointment, even before a litter is born. You meet the parents and see where the puppies grow up, surrounded by plants.
Reservation and matching
A $500 deposit confirms your place on the litter. Puppy–family matching happens around week six, based on the temperaments we observe.
Going home at eight weeks
Your puppy leaves vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and examined by our veterinarian, with a health record and a blanket that smells like the litter.
A litter is expected this fall.
Our puppies are almost always spoken for before they're born. If you're thinking about a Shih Tzu this year, now is the right time to write — even if you aren't certain yet.
